Growing up I wasn’t really good at sports. I kind of grew into sports. In elementary schools there is an event called field day. Field Day is a ritual for elementary students across the nation. Its almost similar to the Olympics. Medals are given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and everyone who participates. Every student is given this advice before every field day: “It’s not about first or last it’s about having fun.”-Teachers. And as we grow up, this pure phrase of inspiration tends to get scued away from its truth. Especially with love…

Love is a game we all play. Unfortunately we don’t get any medals for playing this game. This game has simple rules. Find the person you like.  Make a connection with them. Ask them out on a date. And a few more. Take it to the next level. Fall in lust. Fall in love. SIMPLE. Yet It never is; especially for me. I just don’t know how to pick them.

There is a phrase I’ve heard many times: Nice guys finish last. Im starting to believe this is true.

“Outsider. Insider. It doesn’t really matter. All that matters is knowing what you really want and going after it.”-Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift “If your ever with a girl that is too good for you, marry her”- Valentines Day

The first part about this blog I wrote on Aug 9th 2012, and now, March 5th 2013, I’m finishing it. A few months have past and I saw a girl that I had class with two semesters ago. We had a weird connection. I thought she was absolutely beautiful. She loves the  Miami Hurricanes (college football)  and I love Florida State University (rival to the Hurricanes).  She ended up buying an iPhone from me at my place of work and the rest is history. For once I truly felt happy. She made me feel like I mattered. She was the first girl I said and meant “I love you” to. The problem is, things didnt go according to plan. She said the phrase that every guy dreads, ” its not you its me”….

There will be another part to this post so stay tuned.
