Most are familiar with the phrase “the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.” Why is that? Why is it we are never satisfied with what we have. Are we truly ever satisfied? Take religion out of the equation. Guys always want to have the better car or the prettiest girl. Girls always wanna have the most fabulous shoes and the most good looking guy. How do we know if we are satisfied with what we have?
I’m currently STILL single and most of my close of friends have a significant others and its funny because they’re jealous of me because I’m single and ,yet I’m jealous of them. When asked why they are jealous they all say its because they are free. “Nothing to do Nowhere to be A simple little kind of free.”-John Mayer. Very true, however; when they ask me why I’m jealous of them, it’s simple. You belong to someone and they belong to you. You have love and someone to share it with. Someone to come home to and if you had a rough day; them giving you the simple gesture of a smile and a kiss makes your day seem not so bad.
What I am still learning from looking at the other grass is; If you stare to long you forget to take care of your own grass. Granted I’m glance quite often ,however; I’m learning to only glance just to keep me motivated on what I truly want. And if I continue to take care of my grass it will grow to the point that people are glancing at my grass as motivation.
